will arrange media educational lectures concerning AV-media for the parents of
school-aged children.
The lecture is a great addition to for example parents congregation evenings.
Television
is one of the biggest influencers of our time. There are also many kinds of
moving pictures in the
internet with
unlimited access. Youngsters often
watch intensively format-based programs which could curtail
their own
imagination and make them passive. In many cases parents have no skills to manage even with
their
own media experiences nor to talk about those with their children. The purpose of the lecture is to encourage
adults to
think about the world of youngster
from the media's point of view.
In the lecture actor and media educator Jari Forsman handles about the
relationship of the youngsters and
Television. The duration of the lecture is approximately 40 minutes.
The

short history of the Television
-The passivationing impact or inspiring influence of the Television
-The differences between the Television and imaginary-building forms of
storytelling
-The purposes of commercial TV-production
-The essence and the various forms of the violence in media entertainment
-Encouraging for the weekly day without Television
